Term 3 is nearly over ALREADY!

Wow, what a busy term we have had! During term 3 we have worked on lots of different aspects in our learning. We held a very successful assembly about Chinese New Year and had a special visitor, in the form of a Dragon. This was extremely eye catching and an exciting way to show the children in the school how the Chinese may celebrate New Year. This was a surprise for our parents in the audience too. While practising our assembly lines and preparing for that we also received a letter from Brutus, our Roman friend. Brutus was stuck in Rome and was worried about fitting in so he asked us to find out information for him and we sent this in a letter. This was how we formed our new topic and identified what we would like to learn. We have created our class Colosseum, a Roman soldier, mosaic effect shields, sandals, a Roman bath and lots more! The 3D objects that were made at home were very impressive! Well done to everyone at home for helping and supporting us in making them. Our Open Evening was a huge success and our parents and visitors were very impressed with the amount of learning that had gone on in our classroom. The feedback we got from our two stars and a wish sheets was extremely positive- thank you! We are looking forward to our end of term reward- one week today. We can't wait for the Pyjama party. We hope you have a well deserved Easter holiday and can't wait to see what Term 4 has in store for us! Have an 'Eggcellent' Easter holiday! Room 10 and Miss Fulton

Co-operative Learning

This afternoon we became teachers and had to study an expert topic! With this information we then fed back what we had learned to our Home Team and taught them about our area- we all really enjoyed this! Everyone was very enthusiastic and we all listened carefully to our 'teacher' when they were sharing the information.

Look out for our posters when you visit the classroom!
We have learned lots about the Roman way of life.

Gymnastics

We were able to jump high in the air and make some fantastic shapes! The springboard gave us lots of height!
Some of us balanced at a great height!
We were very impressed at how creative we could be...
A bow and arrow balance!
Walking the tightrope!
We have been working hard in Gymnastics the past couple of weeks! What do you think of our balances and some of our flight pictures from today?

It was great fun and we learned a lot!

Wow!
Very strong arms here!
